Paul McCarthy settles in the Monnaie de Paris until the fourth of January 2015 with an amazing work called Chocolate Factory. Disturbing, intriguing, he denounces with violent the society of overproduction and overconsumption. More than an simple exhibition, it is a monumental installation that proposes the artist. On arrival, we discover a factory, which duplicates chocolates by ten in the chain. Some blond women, dressed in red like Christmas elves, are responsible for the operation of the machine. At the back of the room, we enter in a odd world where dozens of pallets of chocolates are stored. The soft lighting, the exquisite chocolate scent and the weird sounds plunges the viewer into a feeling between attraction and repulsion.
