After the success of Cire Trudon the couple Victoire de Taillac and Ramdane Touhami resurrect Jean-Vincent Bully’s universal Officine created in 1803 and installed it a few steps from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
The shop offers a wide range of water perfumes, beauty treatments including soothing concrete ointment with chamomile water, incense but also clays, vegetable oils and powders from around the world, without forgetting the various accessories such Japanese boxwood combs, requiring no less than three years of work, or boar bristle brushes to complete any beauty routine.
The decoration with wood paneling immerses you in another era. I was lucky to be served by Victoire herself who took the time to explain and make me smell her products. I totally cracked for the Mount Athos Incense (a place in Greece famous for its Orthodox monasteries). You can of course burn them, but also be used as potpourri. Palo Santo wood also conquered me. It became a wellness ritual: I burn it to purify and bring good vibes in the house.
Become a follower of the slow cosmetic, I will return to test the oils, like the one with Buriti fruit perfect for dull hair , or blue clay from Carpaths and the rose petals powder.
