Between personal routes and history of fashion, Fashion Mix tells a different side of immigration, those men and women, artisans, designers, contributing to the reputation of Paris, the international capital of fashion. From Charles Frederick Worth to Azzedine Alaïa, Mariano Fortuny, Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto, Elsa Schiaparelli, Martin Margiela, or Cristobal Balenciaga, Paco Rabanne and Raf Simons, all these foreign designers have revolutionized the French fashion and enriched its history. The program for this exhibition curated by Olivier Saillard: a hundred iconic pieces for the most conserved at the Musée Galliera (the fashion Museum of Paris) accompanied by documents from archives and unpublished interviews.
